CentOS problem.

I'm having a problem with CentOS 4.2-i386

I'm getting this report.
0001201: Kernel panic - not syncing: fs/block_dev.c

I saw Socheats topic on http://bugs.centos.org/view.php?id=1201&nbn=6 (http://bugs.centos.org/view.php?id=1201&nbn=6)
As you can see there is a patch for fixing it, but I don't know how I can apply these patches to the kernel.
