I've been rather curious about something for a while now, so I decided to run a poll:

What is your favorite browser to use when using your favorite control panel ( InterWorx-CP, of course ;) )?

I feel compelled to say that anyone who votes for Lynx will get their InterWorx-CP license revoked immediately. Just kidding. :D But seriously. :p

I use the browser component of mozilla suite. I also have Firefox 1. Is 1.5 out or beta yet?

Firefox 1.5 is out. Firefox 2.0 is in alpha I think too.

I use Opera 8.53 on Windows/Linux :)

I use FF 1.5 for most of my stuff. But I do have to use most browser as a web developer. I even installed IE7.0, it looks very cartoonish and the font is all fuzzy. I think MS was `trying` to be more mac like with Vista. Have to say IE7 even with tabbed browsing doesn't touch FF.

Also, its so nice that when I code anything HTML, JavaScript, CSS it always seems to work great on everything but IE, then I have to spend a couple hours hacking up my code to get it to work on the "most popular" browser.

Sometimes i forget how much I love MS ;)

Justec: Just stick a nice fat "Designed to work in non-IE based browsers" notice in the footer :D

I voted for IE6, but I really use Maxthon, which basically takes IE6 and makes it non-idiotic (adds tabbed browsing, etc)

But it's still IE, and will still render .png files incorrectly, and still has loads of security holes, and still makes most webpages look odd, and is still (mostly) made by Microsoft :p

But apart from that... I suppose it's 0.00001% better than normal IE :D

Oh, and Socheat, don't think I don't recognize this as another disguised attempt to justify not making sure everything works perfectly in IE ;)

I can't argue with the png issue or the security holes or the anti-ms arguments :) But I have to say that the websites I visit seem to render ok, and I'd argue that the tabs alone make it at least 25% better :)

And don't worry, I'm not pro ms or pro IE for that matter. But if I didn't use some form of IE, InterWorx would never be tested (or work) with IE at all, so someone has to suffer.

Well I know Iworx must work in all browsers even though you are targeting the linux server market b/c your clients (the linux hosters) have a lot of clients (end users) that only use IE. Im just glad thats not my job, b/c I have a hard enough time getting stuff (css, js, etc.) to work with IE on much less complicated HTML/PHP sites.

Paul, thanks for taking one for the Iworx team, Im sure they all appertained it :D

I use IE 6 most of the time, since everything just works in with it. I guess this is mostly because more is allowed in IE. However, any n00b computer that I install will have firefox and I tell people to use it. Once I installed a PC newly and I believe that the guy had been internetting on it for 15 mins.... toolbars etc everywere... doesn't happen with Firefox.

I switch to Firefox whenever IE starts to hang or is slow (happens a lot).

haha, then why not just use FireFox and be done with it ;-)

And everything does not just work in IE -- Just ask Scheat how much time is spent making sure the Iworx templates work in IE ;-)

There's a lot of hype behind Firefox. I favor the faster version: Mozilla. I don't appreciate either when tables are being loaded.

Speaking of fast browsers, Opera's new price is right but its CSS interpretation seems to get weirder instead of better.

Firefox 2 doesn't like my Logitech optical mouse :(

The problem may be with the optical mouse itself; I have used 3 opticals so far and all are gone so quick (usually the mouse gets automatically moved) and seen one more gone at my friend's system.
