Themes
Themes represent the overall look and feel of the software’s graphical user interface. InterWorx provides the ability to use any of our Bundled Themes or add Custom Themes.
With InterWorx-CP 3.0 you can specify the theme for every NodeWorx, SiteWorx, and Reseller user.
Bundled Themes
InterWorx comes bundled with three standard themes InterWorx (the default) Vanilla Ice, and Cool Freshness. These themes are all based upon a left side menu. A new theme based upon a more “iconic” style is planned for a future release.
InterWorx
The “classic” theme is called InterWorx and is the default, and is generally considered the most attractive.
Vanilla Ice
InterWorx also has a theme called “Vanilla Ice” which is similar to the classic theme but with some different colors and a space for you to add your own company logo.
Cool Freshness
The third theme is called “Cool Freshness” and is completely text only, but allows you to insert your logo (and the InterWorx logo) in the header if you so choose. This third one is designed to accommodate users running InterWorx on a slower box or a slower Internet connection.
Custom Themes
Because our themes are all designed with the Smarty themeing engine, InterWorx users can change the appearance of InterWorx to their likening with the use of custom designed themes.
Clients are free to use any or all of the Bundled Themes or modify them as they see fit to suit their needs.
| Because any changes to the default themes will be overwritten when InterWorx is upgraded, it is advised to write a new theme based upon one of the existing ones rather than simply edit the existing ones (at the very least change the name of the theme Changes to the InterWorx GUI will not propagate automatically to the custom themes, for that reason all custom themes will need to be manually updated, each time there is a structural change or addition to the InterWorx GUI. |
