How to Generate an API Key

Purpose
This procedure will detail how to generate an API key. An API key can be used by other programs (such as ModernBill and ClientExec) to connect and interact with the InterWorx-CP software.
Procedure - Generate an API Key
- Click on the menu if it is not already expanded.
- Click on the ♦ API Key item.
- You should now be looking at the API Key controls in the main content area.
- If there is no API key generated, you will see the following: API key not set.
- Click the Button.
- You will see the following message at the top of the screen: » New Remote Access Key Generated.
If you re-generate your API key, you will need to replace all instances of the API key in your programs that connect to the InterWorx-CP service with the re-generated key.
