Stop, Start, or Restart a System Service

The following procedures explain how to use InterWorx-CP to stop, start, and restart the following system services: Apache, Qmail, POP3, SpamAssassin, FTP, MySQL, and NFS.

1. If the System Services submenu on the left is not already expanded, click on System Services to expand the menu.
2. Click on the submenu of the service you wish to stop --- for example, ♦ MySQL.
3. Click on the ◊ Overview submenu if it exists.
4. If no ◊ Overview submenu item exists, you are most likely already at the proper location.
5. Locate the Server Control section.
6. Click the Stop button to stop the service.
7. You will see the following message at the top of the screen: » Service Successfully Stopped.
8. You should also see the Status indicator switch from Running to Stopped.
