How To Add or Delete a Blacklisted E-mail Address

Purpose
The following procedures explain how to add or a delete an e-mail address or domain to the SMTP level blacklist.
Procedure - Add a Blacklisted E-mail Address
- Click on the menu if it is not already expanded.
- Click on the submenu if it is not already expanded.
- Click on the ◊ MTA Settings item.
- You should now be looking at the Mail Server Management :: MTA controls in the main content area.
- Locate the MTA SMTP Options (inbound) section.
- In the MTA Level E-mail Address Blacklist field, enter one email address per line. You can also add entire domains simply by entering @domain-you-want-toblacklist on one line.
- Click the button in the MTA Level E-mail Address Blacklist section.
- You will see the following set of messages at the top of the screen:» MTA server config settings updated successfully
» Service successfully restarted
| Adding an email address or domain to the SMTP level blacklist will cause any email from the email address or domain to be rejected and not forwarded to the MDA. |
Procedure - Delete a Blacklisted E-mail Address
- Click on the menu if it is not already expanded.
- Click on the submenu if it is not already expanded.
- Click on the ◊ MTA Settings item.
- You should now be looking at the Mail Server Management :: MTA controls in the main content area.
- Locate the MTA SMTP Options (inbound) section.
- In the MTA Level E-mail Address Blacklist field, delete the e-mail address or domain you wish to remove from the blacklist.
- Click the button in the MTA Level E-mail Address Blacklist section.
- You will see the following set of messages at the top of the screen:» MTA server config settings updated successfully
» Service successfully restarted
