How-to Configure Server-wide SpamAssassin Access Lists (Global Whitelist, Global Blacklist, Trusted Networks)

The following procedure explains how to set up server-wide SpamAssassin settings for whitelists, blacklists, and trusted networks.

1. Click on the System Services menu if it is not already expanded.
2. Click on the ♦    Mail Server submenu if it is not already expanded.
3. Click on the      ◊    SPAM Filtering item.
4. You should now be looking at the Mail Server Management :: SPAM Filter Settings controls in the main content area.
5. Locate the Spam Access Lists section.
6. Enter desired values into the large text boxes. Global Whitelist and Blacklist values should be either e-mail addresses or domains, one per line. Trusted Networks values should be IP addresses or CIDR format, one per line
7. Click the Update button in the SPAM Access Lists.
8. You will see the following message at the top of the screen: » Access lists updated successfully

Enter e-mail addresses or domains, one per line, that you want to guarantee will NOT be tagged as Spam.

Enter e-mail addresses or domains, one per line, that you want to guarantee WILL be tagged as Spam.

Enter networks or hosts that are ‘trusted’ in your setup. Trusted in this case means that relay hosts on these networks are considered to not be potentially operated by spammers, open relays, or open proxies. A trusted host could conceivably relay spam, but will not originate it, and will not forge header data.
