How to Restore a Backup

Prerequisites

Last Updated for InterWorx-CP version 2.1.3

An existing SiteWorx account. An existing Backup.

Purpose

The purpose of this is to detail how to restore a partial account Backup using SiteWorx.

Procedure - Restore a Backup

  1. Click on the Backup/Restore menu if it is not already expanded.
  2. Click on the ♦    Restore item.
  3. You should now be looking at the Restore controls in the main content area.
  4. Click the radio button next to the restore type you’d like to use.
  5. Using Local Backup:
    • Click the Browse button and search for a backup file stored on your computer.
  6. Using remote backup:
    • Enter the absolute path (from / (root)] to the backup file stored on the server.
  7. Click the Restore button to restore your account data using the contests of the backup file.
  8. You will see the following message at the top of the screen: » Account successfully restored.

 Restoring a SiteWorx backup file will overwrite existing data with the data stored in the backup file.
