Marc Pope: Make it so one syncs every so often to the other and so you have a complete failover solution. Including MySQL.

  1. Corey Northcutt: Hey Marc, HA is now a feature in private beta, can signup to get it here- I'm not sure if it meets your desired "remoteness" - that is, I believe that all nodes in the HA cluster need to be in a common VLAN. I'd recommend getting on the beta list there though and taking a closer look.

  2. swgr25: I think this is on the roadmap, or it at least used to be. You could in theory roll your own but yes I do wish there was an easier way to achieve HA. It's a massive problem in today's connected word. A two-node failover/load balance solution would be perfect for a lot of clients but how one makes this reliable is a difficult issue that Interworx is probably working on. The added complexity can cause problems too.
