How to: Change the MySQL Root Password

  1. Click the System Services menu item if it is not already open.
  2. Click the MySQL Server menu item if it is not already open.
  3. Click the Overview menu item.
  4. Locate the MySQL Root Password section at the bottom of the screen.
  5. Type in the password you wish to change the MySQL root password to in the Root Password field.
  6. Type in the password again in the Confirm Password field.
  7. Click the Update button.
