How to: Add / Edit / Delete Secondary NodeWorx Users


A NodeWorx user can login and access specified parts of the NodeWorx server management interface.

How to: Add a NodeWorx User

  1. Log Into NodeWorx
  2. Click the NodeWorx menu item if it is not already open.
  3. Click the User Accounts menu item.
  4. Click [ Add NodeWorx User ].
  5. Provide a Name, email address, and password for the new user.
  6. Select a language and theme for the new user.
  7. Select the checkbox next to the User Permissions which you want the user to have.
  8. If you want the user to have full privileges click on the [ select all ] link.
  9. Click Save.

The Email Address which you provide here serves as the users NodeWorx login and MUST NOT belong to any other NodeWorx user including resellers.

How to: Delete a NodeWorx User

  1. Log Into NodeWorx
  2. Click the NodeWorx menu item if it is not already open.
  3. Click the User Accounts menu item.
  4. Click the [ Delete ] link next to the user you want to edit.
  5. When prompted to confirm the deletion of the account, click Delete.

Only users marked Secondary can be deleted.

How to: Edit a NodeWorx User

  1. Log Into NodeWorx
  2. Click the NodeWorx menu item if it is not already open.
  3. Click the User Accounts menu item.
  4. Click the [ Edit ] link next to the user you want to edit.
  5. From here make any changes you desire:
    1. To edit the Name or email address, simply change it.
    2. To change the password for the user, type the new password in both fields.
    3. To change the language or theme for the user, simply select the new value from the dropdown menu.
    4. Select the checkbox next to the User Permissions which you want the user to have, and a check will appear. To remove a privilege, click the checkbox of an already checked box and it will be removed.
  6. Click Save.

The Email Address which you provide here serves as the users NodeWorx login and MUST NOT belong to any other NodeWorx user including resellers.

How to: Login as Another NodeWorx User

  1. Log Into NodeWorx
  2. Click the NodeWorx menu item if it is not already open.
  3. Click the User Accounts menu item.
  4. Click the [ Login ] link next to the user you want to become.
  5. To return to your previous user login, simply click Logout in the header of the page.

When you are logged in as another user you will only have the privileges assigned TO that user.
