How to: Enable/Disable Root Login
- Click the System Services menu item if it is not already open.
- Click the SSH Server menu item.
- Locate the SSH Server Options section.
- Locate the line: Allow Root Login:
- Select the desired setting.
- Click Update to change the sshd configuration and restart the sshd daemon.
How to: Reset the root Password
- Click the Shell Users menu item.
- Locate the System Shell Users section.
- Click Change next to root.
How to: Terminate an SSH session
- Click the System Services menu item if it is not already open.
- Click the SSH Server menu item.
- Locate the Current Shell Sessions section.
- Check the box next to the session you wish to terminate
- Select Terminate from the dropdown menu below the list of active sessions
How to: Configure The SSH Server to restart if it goes down
- Click the System Services menu item if it is not already open.
- Click the SSH Server menu item.
- Locate the SSH Server Control section.
- Locate the Auto-restart SSH: line.
- Select Yes from the dropdown menu next to it.
- You will see the following message at the top of the screen: SSH auto-restart enabled. will appear at the top of the page.
How to: Configure the SSH Server to NOT restart if it goes down
- Click the System Services menu item if it is not already open.
- Click the SSH Server menu item.
- Locate the SSH Server Control section.
- Locate the Auto-restart SSH: line.
- Select No from the dropdown menu next to it.
- You will see the following message at the top of the screen: SSH auto-restart disabled will appear at the top of the page.
