How to: Enable/Disable Root Login

  1. Click the System Services menu item if it is not already open.
  2. Click the SSH Server menu item.
  3. Locate the SSH Server Options section.
  4. Locate the line: Allow Root Login:
  5. Select the desired setting.
  6. Click Update to change the sshd configuration and restart the sshd daemon.

How to: Reset the root Password

  1. Click the Shell Users menu item.
  2. Locate the System Shell Users section.
  3. Click Change next to root.

How to: Terminate an SSH session

  1. Click the System Services menu item if it is not already open.
  2. Click the SSH Server menu item.
  3. Locate the Current Shell Sessions section.
  4. Check the box next to the session you wish to terminate
  5. Select Terminate from the dropdown menu below the list of active sessions

How to: Configure The SSH Server to restart if it goes down

  1. Click the System Services menu item if it is not already open.
  2. Click the SSH Server menu item.
  3. Locate the SSH Server Control section.
  4. Locate the Auto-restart SSH: line.
  5. Select Yes from the dropdown menu next to it.
  6. You will see the following message at the top of the screen: SSH auto-restart enabled. will appear at the top of the page.

How to: Configure the SSH Server to NOT restart if it goes down

  1. Click the System Services menu item if it is not already open.
  2. Click the SSH Server menu item.
  3. Locate the SSH Server Control section.
  4. Locate the Auto-restart SSH: line.
  5. Select No from the dropdown menu next to it.
  6. You will see the following message at the top of the screen: SSH auto-restart disabled will appear at the top of the page.
