We offer two options to test out InterWorx-CP: an Online Demo and a Free Demo License

Online Demo

Ready to give InterWorx-CP a test drive? Feel free to try out the software on our demo server. Some functionality is limited but you can still get a feel for how the system is laid out and functions.

The demo is a limited, non-clustered version, of the InterWorx-CP software and some functionality may not be available.

Demo License

Because our online demo is limited and we realize that there is no substitute for testing the software on your hardware, InterWorx-CP offers a free single domain license for testing purposes.

A single-domain license

  • is FREE
  • has NO OBLIGATION
  • is FULLY FUNCTIONAL *
  • does not expire – test it out for as long as you want!
  • can be easily updated to the full unlimited domain license should you choose to buy.
* The only limitation on the single domain license is that clustering is not available (you need an unlimited domain license on each box for that) and multidomain is disabled. All other features – including SSL, as long as the domain in question is put on a dedicated IP – work.
We do not currently offer a try-before-you-buy for clustering.
The single domain license only has 1 email address (postmaster@domain.com) and 1 ftp account (ftp@domain.com) available. Other email addresses or ftp accounts cannot be added.

When you decide to upgrade to a full license, you have two choices:

  1. You can contact our sales department and we can upgrade your existing key to an unlimited domain key and generate an invoice for you. When this is done all you have to do is sync the license ~iworx/cron/license.pex –sync
  2. You can get a new license key
    1. order a new license key from our website
    2. Click the Icon Server menu item if it is not already open.
    3. Click the Icon Settings menu item.
    4. locate the License Key option under the Version section
    5. replace your existing license key with the new one
    6. save
    7. sync the license by executing the following command as root: ~iworx/cron/license.pex –sync

We recommend users take the first option, however if you do the second you can keep the single domain license to use for testing on another server.

Additional uses:

Because the license does not expire, it can also be used for uses other than pre-purchase evaluation:

  • Existing clients are welcome to continue using the demo license on a testing server. This is very helpful to test software updates and installations and not risk live data.
  • Developers working on integrating their own software into InterWorx (e.g. billing software, themes, language packs) are invited to request a demo license key.
  • Existing clients can use it on a synced slave DNS server.
